After the infamous recession of 2010, Wisconsin had a $1.3 billion deficit in their Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund, but due to an improved economy and beneficial changes for employers, Wisconsin has bounced back and now has a $1 billion balance in their Fund. This billion dollar balance has the potential to save employers approximately $135 million each year.
